Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. Carl O. Petersen was a Norwegian immigrant who joined Byrd’s expedition in 1928. Petersen was a wireless radio operator who also had expertise in skiing and dog sledding. This collection of documents includes several letters to Byrd. Petersen's information sheet, and letters describing Petersen and his involvement in the mission.
